About CIE/USA-GNYC

The Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE) was founded in 1917 in the United States by a group of able, dedicated, and forward-thinking Chinese engineers who graduated from American colleges and were trained in American railroads and industries. Today, the members of the Chinese Institute of Engineers – Greater New York Chapter (CIE/USA-GNYC) come from very diverse engineering disciplines: AI (Deep Learning, Machine Learning, etc.), Blockchain, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering (Nanoelectronics, AI Hardware), FinTech, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutical industry, Quantum Computing, Robotics, Software Engineering, Telecommunication (Wireless Communication, Optical Networking, ATM and IP Data Networking), Video Networking, etc. Our Institute has two goals–(1) encouraging the study and research in Engineering and Scientific subjects and (2) promoting networking among engineers and scientists in the USA as well as abroad. CIE/USA-GNYC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
